Summer tonics

It's summer..we all feel dehydrated many times. These easy to make drinks and syrups will change your way of dealing with summers with lots of nutrition and taste.

Let's start with the easiest and quick top 5 recipes.

Watermelon pomegranate juice
Just cut some watermelon slices and peel one pomegranate and simply put it in a mixer or chopper for a minute. Sew the juice and it's ready to drink. There is no need to add ice and sugar to it. Drink it natural for maximum benefits.

You must know, this tastes great and the pomegranate taste is suppressed by watermelon flavour making it much healthier and hydrating.

Apple rose punch 
"An apple a day keeps the doctor away" is something well heard from childhood. Also, roses have great taste and many benefits for skin and digestion. All we need to do is blend rose petals and apple in a glass of water. Do not make it a paste ... Keep it crushed. 
If needed add some milk for taste and drink it. This apple rose punch is a great source of iron and fibres to the body. Making you feel super cool and energetic throughout the day.

Mint melon smoothie
Mint leaves mixed with anything is going to leave you super cool. Considering melons, they are in themselves a complete food in one shot. Blend some melon slices and add finely chopped mint leaves to it. 
Drink it chilled for better taste and flavours. If needed add some honey or sugar as suitable.

Green mango syrup
Cut 5-6 green mangoes and boil them with 4 whistles making a paste with the mangoes.
Take a pan and add Cumin powder, hing powder (Asafoetida), salt, sugar and mint leaves. Mix all and boil it to make concentrated syrup. 
Store this syrup in the fridge. When needed add 3-4 spoons of syrup to chilled water and drink. This is a great source of vitamin c and a super hydrating booster. 

Cucumber buttermilk
Buttermilk is also called lassi in India. Buttermilk is simply curd mixed with water. In that add some grated cucumber and some Indian spices for flavour. 
Buttermilk is a great source of calcium also aids healthy digestion. On other hand cucumbers serves as a coolant to the body while provideing fibers in a diet.
